Salt and Light

Matt 5:13-16
13"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
14"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Last day of "Hver dag"

Friday 16th, April was my last day for working at internship place, Vågsbygd church in Kristiansand where the kids are always cute and friendly; this day, there was one thing that very surprise me, I saw many of them were pay attention to work on the table and I was the one who very curiouse to know as usual what are they doing, but they tried to hide me seemed they had secret on their papers. Finally, I knew what they have done because they gave it to me as a gift and memmories. Well, it was the wonderful arts book by drawing and coloring inside with their creative ideas, I like it very much and I was so proud of them and happy by that time and I still remember until now. It's one of good memmories and unforgetable during staying here.
Thanks my lovely kids !

On Sunday 19th, we were gathering at Lund Church. In the morning they had church service as usual, but this Sunday is almost about the mission in Laos through the project that NMS works. After service we had mission market from difference countries to introduce what we have, and how we are difference around the world that God has created. Recitation about "Money"

1. With money you can buy a house but not home.
2. With money you can buy a clock but not a time.
3. With money you can buy a bed but not sleep.
4. With money you can buy a book but not knowledge.
5. With money you can see a doctor but a good health.
6. With money you can buy position but not respect.
7. With money you can buy blood but not life.
But God(Jesus) is every thing !

Last week in Kristiansand

18-25 May, 2010

One week I feel very-very short for visiting internship place, host family, people I have known, the places I like to go and love to stay. However, it was wonderful time that we could meet each other again especially host family, they are always welcome and kind to the people and of course includes me. At home we had three days Lao food dinner, actually I would like to have Norwegian food but I also would like to cook for them. We have had good time and good fellowship by God's grace and the Holy Spirit.
The first evening I went to Misjonshuset for internatoinal fellowship as many times I have been there. It was very good preaching, as I remember it's about how to look at or consider the people, it's not only consider on what we have seen outside that how they dress up or make up even appearance, but consider deeply inside to their heart, their actions to the others, we think about what they have done for others and for God. It was wonderful evening to listen the words from God, with the people in God, Jesus.

On Wednesday 19th I went to visit NMS office ofcource I meant the staffs, we had lunch there as usual. The others days, I visited the kids and staffs who I worked and played together. On Friday was the last day of "Hver dag" at Vågsbygd church for this term, so we celebrated outside the church. There were many kids and several activities, but it was a little bit sad for me because I couldn't stay until the end. But it was nice to meet the kids and leaders, they are always kind and cute, we had a lot of HUGS...! Then I went to Ravneddalen Park, we climb up to the top of the mountain to see the view of Kristiansand, it was so nice town which surrounded by the seas, a lot of mountain and the green leaves on the trees in Spring time, and of course I went there with nice people, we were guided by Norwegian man, he is so so kind and nice person, not only that one he's also had good dinner for us at his house.
Umm...! The time is running, the days has gone...suddenly I had to go back to school. It's hard to say good bye to the people I have known; while I'm sitting on the bus, I felt that there was a little rain came to my eyes, I don't want to leave there. One week is too short for me, I wish I have been there again, but I don't know how to reach there, I'm only sure that God is great, He is only one Who knows and has plans for His children and guides us wherever we go

Thank you Lord for wonderful time, Blessing from you to all those people !

From that place I was tuaght in how to live with people in difference culture and tradition, difference ways to serve God and Praise Him. I've learnt to bring the kids to Jesus by practical activities, drawing, paiting, ..., teach them to do something as in bible said, to have drama, telling story, scriptures...,

I miss You

After internship period, It's been good to be back to Hald for Spring course, to meet all of friends again. But sometimes, I missed my everyday life in Kristiansand where I had internship. I miss my host family, they are very nice and very kind to me, I miss the kids who came to the church evryday, I enjoyed preparing food for them, tried to talk with them, joined their table to learn new things, drawing, painting, coloring and making cards..., learning Norwegian words, I stil remember I tried to say the word "bra" at first they couldn't understand me bcoz it's wrong pronunciation. It was very funny...a lot of fun with the kids ! and lots of good times with the leaders.
I hope to meet you again soon.

2 days in Paris

Oh-lan-la-Paris ^.^

I traveled to Paris on 23 Mar, 2010 with friends (we are 5 Asian Girls. We stayed there with Lao family who live there (my teammate's relatives), they are very kind. We spent the time in Paris for two days only, first day we took the bus and the train(Metro)to the centre of Paris, we visited Louvre (Piramyd), Monument (this is very similar with we have in Laos), Eifel Tower one of the famous places in the world and also the other places for shopping (window shopping). It was very nice to see their modernization. At the Eifel tower, I was thinking I'd like to climb up to the top to see the view arround the city, but we couldn't do that bcoz of so many people were waiting there. So, we just walked arround and then had a sit in the park to relax befor continue to move on to another place. Ah, I felt the time has gone very fast..! not soon we had to back home and had good food, Lao-Thai dinner in Paris.
Next day, we went to visit the other places: Sacre Ceur, Opera,
Notre Dame,...this day I felt tired and it was rain, but we still kept going on bcoz we want to see and we were waiting quite long time for travelling to Paris, France. We all enjoyed travelling in Paris.
On 26th Mar, we travelled back to Norway. It's also very nice to be back !
However, I'd like to tell one thing to who are going to Paris:
"
Becareful people who you trust "

Thank you Lord, we got home safetily !
Also thanks to all of my friends !

At Mesnali ( Camping ) 31-3_4-4_2010

Thank you Lord !

I had my Easter holiday with Påskefamiliefestival at Mesnali, it took arround 9 hours by train from Kristiansand to get there. I went there with a friend from 'Hald', and there were a lot of people (arround 50) with their siblings. We had good time there, played with the kids, shared something about myself, Christianity in my home country, and also staying in Norway. On 1th and 2nd, April we went skiing, this time I did more better, ski along the way down I was very enjoy and like it so much; but the problem for me was I couldn't stop. while I was going, I just shouted to the people to give me the way, or if I want to stop I just find the place to sit(fall down). It made me feel paiful on my body, but I stil like it and I will stil like it. The second day, we went to another place that more down hill, it was very challanged me. I went a little up on the mountain for skiing, I felt I did quite well, so I tried again more up hill,,,it was very good experince and challanged me to try that. I was so proud and happy to do, and poeple said to me" you are so brave to down hill skiing, and you did good job as well" but I saw the Norwegian, they are the best to ski, I think. Near the camp they had funny families games with snow and compitition ski jumping for the children. There were very little kids jumped with ski, it seemed they were flying. now, I understand, that's why they are so good at skiing. They practise since they were very small kids.
The other times, we were together at camp to had fellowship and celebrate Easter.

Blessing to all of you,

Babysang

What my dream is after Hald_?
From my internship period, I experienced and have learnt many good things. There are several interested activities for the kids that attractive me and I really would like to have it in my home country, Laos. Especially is Babysang (Baby singing). It's very nice program for parents and their children are gathered at somewhere of the church with nice music and lots of toys for children. There, we focus on baby’s value and they will be taught about Jesus Christ since they were babies. The other wise, these activities are very helpful for children’s movement or development. I really like babysang..! But many times I was wondering how can I start it or what should I do_?
So, I'm stil thinking about that ^.^
“Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14).

Hver Dag(everyday) at internship place

Vågsbygd Church in Kristiansand is my internship place; here my teammate and I really enjoy “Hver Dag” (every day) with the kids. We mainly help shopping for food and prepare as well. There are also many activities that arranged for the kids which related to the week’s story or for each day.
Once, we had Lao’s week with NMS staffs, who have visited Laos, they presented about Laos to the kids. Actually, Laos is not so well known to the others, but the kids seemed very interesting and asked the questions about Laos. The other things, we made Lao food (not typical food): Khao-Pad (Fried rice) and Yo-Chuen (spring roll, vårruller) that kids were also learnt to make by themselves. We enjoyed making and eating and cleaning afterward as well

Gla's Festivalen 2010

On 13-14 Feb, 2010 I had an opportunity to take part in Gla’s Fetivalen with NMS staffs and the others youth to be the leader at Birkeland, everyone slept overnight there. There were around 50 kids registered for the activities (football, drama, dancing and hobby). I joined in hobby, I really like and enjoyed simply art with papers, I was so proud when the kids like it, they came to me and ask “Kan du lage blomster til meg og kan du lære meg å lage blomster og kort…?” Dere er så flinke til å lære og lage dette. And the other groups also practised their favourite activities. On that night the kids showed what they practiced enjoyably, and lots of funny games with the leaders. After that we watched film and then we went to bed, and had a good night. Next day (Sunday) morning there were gathering all of leaders, kids and their parents in the big hall. Then we had lunch and came back home.

Thank you Lord for good experience..!

Visit Karmøy_Norheimsund

In 26 Jan to 2 Freb, 2010 I had an great opportunity to be with my host parents to visit their relatives. We drove from Kristiansand to Karmøy, the car moved on the road through the bridge, under the sea (tunnels), and on the sea by the ferry. Karmøy is very nice place to visit. We stayed there for two nights, there we were servered by good food that I've never test before. On day time I had a little walk outside the house to see the beautiness of the island in winter, there were a lot of birds fishing on the island and they also had meeting on the ground and on the roof after fishing, they looked very smart. And then they drove around Skudeneshavn, I was so happy to be there and talked with a person who has been to Laos by NMS organization, so we talked a lot about Laos through out my experience in Jesus and my staying in Norway. At that time I felt very comfortable to share many things, When we talk about experience in Jesus, then I felt I have lots of good experience by Him that I need to share the others. The day after we play game "Noah Ark" it's all about Bible.
After had good time here, on 28 Jan, we drove to Norheimsund, we stayed there for 5 nights. It was very good time with host family and their kids, we enjoyed playing game at home, walked up on the high land that was covered by clean snow, enjoyed playing on snow.
Although it was having good time there but we have to came home. On the way back to Kristiansand it seemed we were driving on another planet, becoz almost everything was coverd by snow, then it seemed the world become white. This is really great experience in the winter that I've never touch in my life.

Thank you Lord we arived home saftily.
Thank you so much my host parents and thanks also go to the host who we visited.

Christmas 2009 in Norway

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him. Rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:6-7)
I feel the time has gone so fast and of course the Christmas time is also coming. According to the tradition, there are a lot of things that people have to do or prepare before: make differences special kinds of cake, prepare special food, decorate the house by changing the table clothes, flowers, candles, hang on the angels, and set the Christmas tree...! Then it's very to celebrate. By this occasion, I also gave my hands to help them to do that, I help them to make.....cake at NMS’ staff, and helped my host mother at home to make some cake, it was very good and excited to try something new. Then we had a lot of special cake and food for eating on Christmas.
On Christmas Eve and New Year, we went to the Church and also many people went there. The other day I went to another church for international Christmas and met a lot of people who come from different countries.
At home, I enjoyed that time with my host family and their kids who visited, enjoyed Christmas carol and Christmas gifts.

Thanks God I celebrated Christmas in Norway for this year. Thanks to bring me to get new experience, I had a great time with my host family to celebrate Christmas.

‘Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (Philippians 4:4)

Enjoy winter in Norway

Acturlly, I am a person who comes from the hot climate country and I also like the warm weather very much, but by the time past there were many things changed me. Suddenly while I am staying here I become the one who likes cold weather, especially in the winter time. I like walking on the clean white snow and try skiing I don't care how cold it is ^.^ I very enjoy walking on the clean snow wherever I go. Now I feel the winter time is very short for me, suddenly the spring is coming while I am enjoying the snow. I want to have this time in Laos, but how it will be possible..! Because God has created in difference on each part of the world.

Thank you Lord for this experience,

Who is friend ???

Many times I was thinking about friends, who is friend???-Someone that I can talk/share with??? Actually,it's very-very good that we have friends, we can enjoy the time together, we can have a lot of time for helping, going, talking and eating together ^.^ BUT not all the time as we need. WHY..??? It might be because of we have different job, different life styles....but we are still friends. SO, it's possible that sometimes those friends are far away from us, someone is so busy, 'I have to do this, I have go there'..and so on...SO, who we can talk with..????? NOOO, NO one..maybe !!!
^.^But at that time, there is still have one, He is only one WHO alway be with us. He can be as a friend, a father Who really love and see every of our movement. Who is He? He is Jesus, He is God our Lord, He has promises ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go’ (Psalm 32:8).

'The Lord will be with you, He will not fail you or abandon you'
He is wonderful friend !

Trip to Oslo (5-9 Nov, 2009)

Thanks God, I had a great time with my host family to trip to Oslo, the capital city of Norway. When we were driving for a while from Kristiansand, I felt the weather was colder and colder. Then, suddenly I saw the land became white. I was not sure what is that. I asked my host parents:'Is that the SNOW'? They repleid: YES, Snow. now you see the snow!..WOW..WoW..! that is snow ...!! OH, I see the snow now, this is my first time to see. I was very very surprised..! The tree, the houses, the cars were covered by snow, it was really-really nice..! I sent mgs to my friends to tell what I saw.
We took a break and had lunch at Cinderella Cafe & Hotel. WoW!! there was a lot of sNoW, I took out of the car to made my first snowball and took thotos. Then we cotinued driving to Oslo. While we were there, I always been with my host parents to visite their Kids and friends. We went to visit the famous places in the town: The King's Castle, the theatre, Natiional Museum...very nice to see. I took a lot of photos..!

Million thanks to my host parents to bruoght me there, and thanks God that we had a great time togather!

I wish I will go there again..!

My first time

Finally, the time that I was looking forward came. On 28 Dec, 2009 I went skiing with my teammate and her host father. That was my first time to try on ski, I fall down and fall down again and again many-many times, but that was very funny, and good time even though I almost couldn't wake up by the day after. But anyway, I like it ! and I will try it again and again as I have time. I'm looking forward to try it again!!!

Thank you for a good time,
